Remaking del film “Jesus” (1979) in versione cartoons

Cinema, animation, and Scripture will once again “meet” in a project where they will present the life of Jesus Christ: the animated remake of the 1979 Jesus Film which is set to release for Christmas of 2025. The Cru film ministry is working on a next-generation remake of the iconic 1979 movie seen by millions. The popular Jesus Film of 1979 is an American Biblical drama film directed by Peter Sykes and John Krish which depicts the life of our Lord, a depiction of the life of Jesus based on the narratives of the gospel according to Luke. The said film includes a voice-over narration featured sporadically throughout the film, providing background information on characters and events.
The animated Jesus will be initially shown in 31 countries and then translated into thousands of languages. The 2025 Jesus will use some of the audio from the existing translations but will not be a shot-for-shot remake. The 1979 film currently holds the Guinness World Record for most-translated movie and has been seen by millions for it has been translated into over 1000 languages to date (including 10 different sign language versions), and 235 more translations are in progress, making it the most translated film in history.
