The Conversion of Saul to Paul: An Ever-Present Experience

On Jan. 25, the liturgical feast of the conversion of St. Paul, TV2000, a television channel of the Italian Bishops’ Conference, will features stories that narrate the irruption of divine grace into the lives of people of all times. Testimonies that emphasize how much the experience of “conversion” (or “revelation”) involving the apostle of the Gentiles is not just a narrative device of Luke in the Acts of the Apostles or of Paul himself in his letters, but is the experience of that unprecedented encounter with God that can concern many others and that always changes existence. It is sad, sometimes, to find among the pages of great authors expressions that associate the touch of grace with a simple epileptic seizure, a psychic problem, an invention constructed ad hoc by Saul to impose his own way of seeing things.

Welcome these broadcasts that juxtapose biblical commentary with the re-presentation of experience, here and now.
