“Ten words to live by”: Living the Terzelli Experience

From 29 April to 1 May, in San Andrés in Terzelli, near Castel San Niccolò (AR),Don Luca Buccheri and Monica Rovatti proposes a current and non-moralistic rereading of the Ten Commandments, understood as paths of life, to be happy and live in harmony. The Bible does not present “commandments” that take away freedom but indicates possible ways of peace and harmony. For example, how can one devote attention to the time of celebration and “rest” (remember to sanctify the Sabbath)? How can one give due importance to his or her roots without being crushed by the past (honoring the father and the mother)? How to live the right relationships concerning others, to their freedom, uniqueness, and creativity (not steal, not kill, not extinguish the demand for life that is in the other)? The Terradelsanto experience was born from the pilgrimage trips to the Holy Land. Following the footsteps of Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, Luca Buccheri, a traveling biblical priest, organizes and proposes such travels since 2004, is joined by Monica Rovatti along with other “soul travelers” in a sort of Itinerant Parish of the Invisible, light as a tent, open to all and free.
