Giving Wings to the Gospel: the Bible on Radio in Nairobi

The radio program The Bible Journey Program, created and hosted by Sr Beatrice Wanjiku Njau of the Daughters of Saint Paul on Radio Maria Nairobi, aims to help listeners familiarize themselves with the Word of God and understand its meaning. Conceived as a practical but thorough investigation of the Bible, it is a journey designed to help Christians and everyone interested in understanding Sacred Scripture. Initially, the audiences were small in numbers due to the difficulty in finding radio frequencies in Nairobi. Thankfully, the program has become a part of the broadcasted programs on Radio María Nairobi.  Listeners of the program have multiplied as it has now gained a following from young people, adults, catechists, priests, religious, seminarians, and ordinary people. Sr Beatrice Wanjiku Njau affirms, “It is a joy to be able to give wings to the Gospel as Mother Tecla encouraged us.
