The biblical weeks proposed by the Monastic Fraternity of Bose are an opportunity offered to anyone who wants to deepen the experience of faith in assiduous confrontation with the Word of God. From July 3 to 8, the focus will be on the prophets, thanks to the careful and accurate guidance of Father Alberto Mello. Prophethood, in ancient times, is a phenomenon that is not uniquely Jewish, but in Israel it took on a surpassing significance, both in literary terms (there are not only oracles, but entire prophetic books) and as a theological importance. The course traces the great prophetic figures of the Old Testament, distinguishing between an Israelite prophecy of hearing that has as its theme the covenant (Elijah, Hosea, Jeremiah) and a Judaic prophecy of vision, which will finally have a messianic significance as well (Amos, Isaiah, Micah) and cross over into apocalyptic (Ezekiel, Zechariah, Daniel).
