The Biblical Association of Italian Switzerland (ABSI) is an ecumenical cultural association whose aim is to encourage the reading and study of the Bible in the territory of Switzerland first of all with an Italian-speaking majority, but also in Italy, outside any religious, social or cultural division. It intends to promote the design and implementation of initiatives to make people understand the importance of biblical knowledge for the cultural formation of the population of Italian-speaking Switzerland. It supports cultural formation in the biblical field, for all those who carry out educational functions in the religious field, both in the Christian and civil area. In agreement with the competent departmental and/or religious bodies, it participates in the training of teachers in the public and private school and university systems of Italian-speaking Switzerland. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its foundation, ABSI organizes a study day on 14 January with leading biblical scholars such as Ernesto Borghi, Marinella Perroni, Gianfranco Ravasi and Paolo Ricca. The event can be followed online. To learn more, download the program or visit their website. Here is the program.
