As we joyfully commemorate the first 70 years of fruitful apostolic work of our congregation in the country, the Paulines of Venezuela, good sons of Saint Paul and of Bl. James Alberione, in union with a group of bishops, priests and lay people and knowing that “only what is ahead is worth” (Phil 3:13), we send you a new edition of the New Testament. This new edition is a Pastoral-Catechetical Edition: a fruit of a hopeful, apostolic, ecclesial, biblical and congregational project. With this project, we wish to enlighten and stimulate all editorial initiatives in the years to come and also to renew the work of pastoral care and biblical catechesis in our country. This new edition of the New Testament that we present is the best testimony of what can be achieved by the Pauline Apostolate, united with so many men and women dedicated to biblical pastoral care within the pilgrim Church in Venezuela in their desire to spread the Word of Jesus, Master, Way, Truth and Life, in the best style of the Apostle Paul.
