The Sunday of the Word of God 2023 has as its theme an expression taken from the First Letter of John: «We announce to you what we have seen» (1 Jn 1:3). Hence the title attributed to the day that falls on January 22: Proclaimers of the Word! The author of the 1 Jn emphasizes that the Gospel is not comparable to a content or an ethical model, but is the participation in the new life of the Risen Lord, expressed by repeated engravings that outline life “in Christ”. In the Christian experience there is a moment where all this is fully lived: the Eucharistic celebration.
