Psalm 95 (94)
23Come, sing to the Lord. When we come to praise God, let us prepare to listen to his word; and try to do his will in daily life.
1 Come, let us sing to the Lord,
1 let us make a joyful sound
1 to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before him giving thanks,
2 with music and songs of praise.
3 For the Lord is the great God,
3 the great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth
4 and the mountain heights.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
5 and his hand shaped the dry land.
6 Come and worship; let us bow down,
6 kneel before the Lord, our Maker.
7 He is our God, and we his people;
7 the flock he leads and pastures.
7 Would that today you heard his voice!
8 Do not be stubborn, as at Meribah,
8 in the desert, on that day at Massah,
9 when your ancestors challenged me,
9 and they put me to the test.
10 For forty years they wearied me and I said,
10 “They are a people of inconstant heart;
10 they have not known my ways.”
11 So I declared on oath in my anger,
11 “Never shall they enter my rest.”
